Crystal D Giles

Encourager, Extraordinary Entrepreneur…

“The meaning of life is to find your gift.  The purpose of life is to give it away.” Pablo Picasso.  And this is what Crystal does.  Crystal Giles (formerly Crystal Gresham) is a native of Atlanta, GA and southern hospitality oozes from her presence.  Crystal has a diverse background that shapes her work ethic and style.  Her leadership and discipline is attributed to her nine years of experience in the United States Army Reserve.  But there is more to Mrs. Giles than just the organized professional.  Crystal’s creative side led her to put her passion for hair into action and ultimately received her cosmetology license in May 1996.  Upon receiving this certification she further enhanced her styling skills at a variety of diverse hair salons.  Along this styling journey Crystal developed specialties in cutting and coloring, with a passion for maintaining healthy hair.  In 2010, Giles was a member of the winning team at a hair competition during the Bronner Brothers Hair Show and she continues to participate in this, and other prestigious hair shows.  Crystal has always lived by the mantra that style begins within, and she has demonstrated this with a number of community service events and charitable organizations including SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) Battered Women Makeovers.  With over twenty years of experience in the hair industry in 2013 Crystal decided to couple her purpose and passion and create Gresham Giles Salon, a salon that embodies all of her passions and experiences – Style, Service and Substance.  Gresham Giles Salon is an authorized distributor for BASIC hair care line which is an Atlanta based black owned hairline.  By collaborating with the Basic team Crystal has been able to live out her dream as a platform artist.  Crystal consistently challenges herself as a stylist and salon owner to always stay abreast of the latest styling trends.  She is currently working towards becoming a certified colorist and works tirelessly to educate, empower and encourage other stylists.  She is passionate about the stylists in her salon, and beyond to always know their value and consistently learn and train to become even more valuable.  Mrs. Giles is not only an entrepreneur, stylist and leader in her community but also balances these priorities along with being a wife and mother.  In August 2005 Crystal married Kerwin E. Giles, and has a teenage son Cameron E. Giles.  Crystal and her family currently reside in Atlanta GA.
